E-commerce enhances grocery store experience
Online grocery spending in the US will grow from $23.9 billion in 2018 to $59.5 billion by 2023, which will still be less than 10% of total grocery spending, according to IGD. Grocery e-commerce won’t replace shopping in physical stores, but instead will add convenience for shoppers and pull fulfillment, delivery and click-and-collect services from the stores, which will enhance them, according to Neil Stern, senior partner at McMillanDoolittle.
