The concept of click-and-collect is gaining popularity in the U.S. grocery landscape as retailers and consumers take cues from established services in Europe as part of a major trend emerging in grocery, a panel of experts said at an industry event last week. Click-and-collect pilot programs allow retailers to adapt the model to fit their business and find a collection option that works best for their customers, whether pickup is available in a live store, warehouse, dark store or somewhere else, the panelists said.
