PCI compliance is up — but it’s not enough to protect retailers from fraud
Are retailers prepared to protect their payment systems from a full-blown hack attack — or are they doing the bare minimum, leaving the back door wide open for increasingly brazen and savvy cyber criminals?
That’s the questioned posed by Verizon’s 2015 report on regulations set by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council. The latest version of the annual study found that while companies are getting better at achieving full compliance with PCI standards, relatively few can sustain it.
