NRF: Retailers to ring up 3.7% holiday sales growth
Holiday retail sales are expected to grow 3.7% this year, slightly slower than the 4.1% pace of holiday sales growth in 2014, according to an NRF forecast released Thursday. Total sales are forecast to grow to more than $630 billion, and online sales are set to rise between 6% and 8%, according to the forecast. “Americans remain somewhat torn between their desire and their ability to spend,” NRF President and CEO Matthew Shay said.
